Happy Thanksgiving

Today is Nadia's birthday.  She is 6.

Oh how we wish she was sitting down to this table with us.
But we are so grateful for so many things.
We are grateful that she is not in an orphanage.
She gets physical therapy.
She can count to ten in English!
Her most recent photos show a happy girl, as well cared for as circumstances will allow.
And we are so grateful to a living God who sees her and loves her and is working to bring her home to us.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday Nadia

I do not think it is a coincidence that this little girl's birthday will fall on Thanksgiving this year - the year we committed to bringing her home.

She will be 6 years old!

Would you be willing to give $6 to our FSP to wish her a happy birthday and to hurry her home?

You never know who God will use

Can I just say that you never know how God will move or who he will use?
I was feeling a little discouraged on the financial front. But I committed to doing as much fundraising as I could handle.
I'll be honest, I didn't expect much and I was feeling a little alone out here.
But God was about to teach me a lesson.
Our auction brought in much more than I expected. Donations came in from all over.
Then our auction post came across the desktop of one lovely lady, an acquaintance of my husband's from work. She shared not only our auction but our story. She has run two very successful fundraisers of her own and solicited donations from her friends and contacts.
I am dumbfounded.
I have never met this woman, but God has given her a heart for adoption and has moved her to help us.

So hang in there folks! Do your part. And pray, pray, pray.
Who knows what God will do?

THANK YOU

Wow.  When Cathy totaled up the results of the auction I had to re-read her email a couple of times to make sure I was seeing the number she type correctly. Wow!  Through your generosity we are that much closer to bringing Nadia home. "Thank you" just doesn't seem adequate.

We are continually blessed by people and their willingness to help.  Some we know well,  others we have never met.  But all seem to share the same desire, to help us fulfill the calling that God has placed upon lives.

So I will say it again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The clock is ticking

Things are really starting to heat up with only two days left in our first fund raising auction.  If you have already bid you may want to go back and check to make sure you weren't out bid.  If you haven't bid yet don't wait too long.

Thanks so much for your generosity.  It is overwhelming and humbling to be on the receiving end of everyone's generous support.

Please donn't forget to keep praying for us, we really need it.
